Springtime in the Rockies

The pent up anticipation of Spring is just too much. All along the front range of Colorado is awash in trees blooming everywhere. Our eyes gravitate immediately to any spot of color while driving through neighborhoods. Bright neon yellow forsythia, delicate pink bud branches creeping out between two homes and these welcome white bursts of Spring. The weather report for this week calls for rain and eventual snow. Not one person is even phased. We are in the short strokes now. Spring has taken hold of our minds. This photo was taken in Golden, Colorado. We drove there for the day to see a recent exhibit at the Foothills Art Gallery and a most interesting exhibit at the Quilt Museum of quilts designed and made by men. Very talented, dedicated men. A post of that visit is elsewhere on this blog.
