Some friends and I enjoyed High Tea at the Cherokee Ranch just South of Denver. The jewel of the ranch is the towering castle at the top of the hill overlooking vast expanses along the front range of the Rocky Mountains. The photos here don’t do the place justice. They decorate for the holidays and in the summer the tea may be enjoyed outside on the veranda.
The story of the structure is fascinating. During the tea, volunteers share some facts of the family who owns the property. After the tea you may take a guided tour of the rooms. The sculpture of the guy tight rope walking between the outside of the building is something to look for! He never falls.
